At the heart of the GLE Plug-in Hybrid driveline is a lengthwise powerful and efficient 3.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine which kicks in to operate with the electric motor, delivering an economic and powerful drive, with a combined power output of 315bhp. Furthermore, The GLE impresses with its all-electric range of 66 miles, thanks to a battery with a capacity of 31.2 kWh.
Accelerating from zero to 62mph in 6.8 seconds, the GLE Plug-in Hybrid correlates a combined fuel consumption of 256.8mpg and the PHEV powertrain is accompanied by an 9G-DCT 9-speed automatic transmission.

The new GLE has marked the debut of the latest generation of Mercedes-Benz driving assistance systems. The level of active safety has not only been improved further compared with the preceding model - Some Intelligent Drive functions, such as Active Stop-and-Go Assist, are equipped in the GLE.
