Exterior design

LED light band across the entire front grille.

Although the EQS is a close relative of the new S-Class, it is built on an all-electric design. This completely new concept made a rigorous Purpose Design possible: with its one-bow lines and cab-forward design with fastback. There is no doubt the EQS is clearly distinguishable from vehicles with combustion engines, even at first glance.

The front is fused into a Black Panel unit. Advanced headlights connected by a light band and the deep black radiator grille form it’s characteristic face. The exclusive look of the black radiator grille with the central Mercedes-Benz star can be enhanced further: as an optional extra, which is also available with the three-dimensional star pattern. It also features a distinctive fibre-optic strip running along the front and rear in addition to the typical EQ blue headlamp strips.

Interior design

Delivering further electric character.

Then the inside delivers further electric character thanks to the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) Hyperscreen, which is the highlight of the EQS interior. Exclusive to the EQS, this 56" curved glass instrument panel stretches from door to door to seamlessly merge three screens. A zero-layer interface eliminates the need to scroll submenus or provide voice commands, as the most essential applications — charging, entertainment, phone, navigation, connectivity, massage and more — are available given the situation. Each seat offers an opportunity to interact with the vehicle for a unique experience for both driver and passengers alike.

Performance

Ranges up to 770kms.

With ranges up to 770 kilometres (WLTP) and an output of up to 385 kW the powertrain of the EQS also meets every expectation of a progressive saloon in the S-Class segment.

All EQS models have an electric powertrain (eATS) at the rear axle, while the versions with 4MATIC also have an eATS at the front axle.

Safety

The new generation of Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive.

To deliver the best or nothing, safety must come first with Mercedes-Benz. The EQS therefore is a true Mercedes-Benz when it comes to safety. Mercedes-Benz EQA Review.

Mercedes-Benz Ireland has set their sights on a younger generation of eco-conscious motorists with the arrival here of their new EQA, the all-electric version of their popular compact A-Class range.

True to their ambition to establish a strong market presence in Ireland for their electric-powered EQ model range – and their goal to have a fully carbon-neutral fleet within the next two decades – the arrival of the new Mercedes-Benz EQA will allow Irish owners to “future-proof” their motoring in what Ciaran Allen, sales manager for Mercedes-Benz in Ireland calls “a stylish, highly-equipped model designed to meet all known environmental standards in an enjoyable and responsible way”.
