DESIGN
STYLISH DESIGN
The exterior of the KAROQ has a bold face, a muscular stance and dynamic proportions in a compact package – you can see at first sight that the ŠKODA KAROQ is ready to stand out in the city and tackle any adventure with you.
Self-assured from the front; The high headlights and grille exude confidence and leave no one in any doubt that they are witnessing the arrival of the new ŠKODA KAROQ. The interplay of graceful lines, dynamic curves and robust appearance has spawned a balanced body.
Distinctive from the back; The rear section is dominated by high-set wedge-shaped rear lights, their outer parts stretching on to the bodywork’s sides. The high rear bumper commands respect, telling everyone loud and clear who they’re dealing with.

Striking vision; Full-LED are not only good for unprecedented visibility, they also look really stylish. But it is the rear lights what really shines – they use the advanced LED lighting technology as well and the outer parts of the rear lighting incorporate a distinct crystal structure visible from the side.
The interior of the KAROQ is handsomely contoured teeming with advanced technology. You will surround yourself with features that make every drive so fun and comfortable you won’t want to get out of the car. A perfect overview is provided by the digital instrument panel which can display on-board computer specifications in combination with other information such as navigation for example, and all controlled via the View button on the multifunction steering wheel.
The dynamic chassis control (DCC) with Driving Mode Select allows the drivers to customise the vehicle’s handling to their personal preferences: Normal, Sport or Comfort.
The panoramic electric roof is electrically controlled. To ensure optimal interior climate, it is made of tinted glass that has reduced light and thermal transmittance.
The KAROQ has enough room for you, for your family and your luggage, for your friends, hobbies and sports activities, for your work, travels and relaxation – there is enough space for you and your whole life.

SAFETY
SAFETY WITHOUT COMPROMISE
Lane assist; The land assist recognises an unintended departure from the lane, providing a visual message, and initiates corrective steering. It is activated at speeds above 65km/hr provided that there are recognisable lane markings on the road surface and the turn signal has not been turned on.
Front assist with predictive pedestrian protection is a collision-alert safety system. Faced with an unavoidable collision, it applies the brakes to minimise the consequences. It also performs an emergency stop if a pedestrian dangerously attempts to cross the path of the car.
Blind spot detect helps the driver to change lanes safely by registering any vehicles in the blind spot.
Rear traffic alert; When reversing out of parking bays, this safety feature recognises vehicles approaching from the sides. An acoustic signal warns of an impending collision. The “critical side” is shown first in yellow and then in red on the infotainment display. The brakes are applied automatically if necessary.

THE CLEVER TOUCHES THAT MEAN YOU'LL BE HAPPY YOU GOT A SKODA KAROQ COMPACT SUV THIS YEAR
When all is said and done, when the price has been chewed over, spec levels detailed, connectivity explored, the size of boot trumpeted, engines (petrol, diesel) praised, market share cherished, the fact of the matter is Skoda has done something more with their new compact SUV five-seater Karoq (from €27,715).
Call it a shift upmarket, call it putting in quality 'stuff', call it what you like, but there is a detectable sense from the Karoq, as there was/is from the larger (mostly seven-seater) Kodiak, that they've climbed the pecking order in the Volkswagen Group and are getting really decent material to work with.

Kodiak demand vastly outstripped supply. That made quite a number of people angry but I'm told the situation has improved a lot.
Those chasing a Karoq are unlikely to have that problem with provision made for the five-door successor to the inimitable Yeti to rack up around 1,300 buyers this year. That's well behind segment leader Hyundai's Tucson but a strong start for a newcomer nonetheless.
